Patrons Character Modeling Lead at Axis Studios for Netflix

Supervised modeling and developed a modular system for easily exchanging parts, enabling seamless sharing and collaboration across the Patrons. Ekaterina Pushkarova -Modeling Marceli Guziewicz-Surfacing

While I contributed some modeling, my primary role on this project was focused specifically on the Patrons characters. I worked to facilitate the artists in bringing them to life and ensure alignment with our art direction. My responsibilities included providing the tools, support, and guidance needed for the team to complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.

I also made sure that everything represented in the storyboards and script for the Patrons was fully covered. This meant finding solutions across departments so that handoffs ran smoothly and the creative intent was always preserved.

In addition, I ensured the Patrons’ variations could be easily adjusted through random parameters, maintaining both flexibility and consistency. This involved making sure UVs, textures, art direction, and technical direction were clearly understood and properly implemented to deliver high‑quality final assets.

Mostly my strong Heart felt thanks to the amazing teami had Marceli Guziewicz Yutaka Kasama Ekaterina Pushkarova for doing such outstanding work.

All of this was carried out under the direction of Paul Rowley (CG Supervisor) — a hilarious, stoic, fearless, and endlessly supportive leader — and Amy Ash (Head of Modeling), whose leadership ensured both the technical and artistic vision of the project were achieved. Special credit goes to Piotr Orlinski (Surfacing Lead), whose incredible skill and attention to detail elevated the look of the Patrons and made him an absolute badass in the surfacing department.

Huge thanks as well to the Rigging team, led by Fiona Lynch (Rigging Lead – Faces) and Markus Hadinger (Rigging Lead – Bodies), for making sure the Patrons performed flawlessly, and to the Groom team, guided by Hamish Mitchell (Groom Lead) and supported by Yasser Mohsen (Groom TD), whose artistry brought the Patrons’ hair and fur to life.

Finally, I want to recognize Jake Gumbleton (Art Director) for being a true hero in guiding the overall vision, and Anne FICHET, whose delivery of stunning artwork gave our team an inspiring foundation to follow.

Pauline Coogans Coogan and Mhairi O'Neill — you were absolute production lifesavers. You kept everything running smoothly from start to finish, and I truly couldn’t have done this without you. And a huge thank you to Paula Bird and Andrew Pearce for your outstanding leadership.
